Weekly Update - Balance - Goblins!


Howdy,

So, this week I finished off goblin specific changes.

Let's start off by meeting the new boss - the Shaman

Right in the face...

The Shaman has a rather mean special ability - Curse. When you're hit by it, you suffer a penalty to your strength and agility, which scales depending on how high level the Shaman is.

You can't dodge the attack normally - since it will seek you out - but it does have a limited lifespan - so you can avoid being hit by it by outlasting it. Moment you see the Shaman start to charge up her attack - run away until it dissipates.

And with the new boss enemy, clearing the island has become a tiny bit more difficult.

Firstly, you have to clear the towers - and with that done, the Shaman will appear from her hut and give you a taste of her medicine. She's accompanied by a maximum of two bodyguards.

Only when you defeat her, is the island yours.

So with quite a major change finished, here's a video about it.

So yeah, that's about it. Next week I'll be working on balancing out what loot is dropped when you defeat certain enemies, and after that I'll apply the same dynamic equipment/level behavior to the Everpunished.
